How to Claim a DeWalt Warranty

Step-by-step: how to file

1. Figure out which warranty appliesWrench, socket, ratchet or drive accessory? That's a mechanics tool. Hammer, tape measure, knife? Hand tool. Anything with a motor or battery is a power tool.
2. Mechanics tools: contact Customer CareDon't take it back to the store. Contact DeWalt Customer Care at 1-800-433-9258 or online, and DeWalt ships a replacement. No receipt needed.
3. Power tools: file online or visit a service centerSubmit a request at DeWalt's support site, call 1-800-433-9258 (7 AM–11 PM ET, every day), or use the service center locator. DeWalt lists 20 factory-owned centers and more than 600 authorized shops.
4. Use your first-year free serviceIn the first year, DeWalt maintains the tool and replaces parts worn from normal use for free. Nailer wear items like O-rings and driver blades are excluded.
5. Within 90 days? You can get your money backPower tools, lasers and nailers can be returned within 90 days of purchase for a full refund.
6. Hand tools: mail it inSend it to Stanley Black & Decker, 100 Passmore Lane, Jackson, TN 38305, Attn: Quality Assurance. Don't send power tools there.
