How to Claim a Hydro Flask Warranty
Hydro Flask bottles and tumblers carry a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Lost insulation and broken caps are covered. Dents and scratches are not, and that is where most claims fail.
Terms checked October 18, 2026. Warranty terms change, so confirm on the brand's page before shipping anything.
Step-by-step: how to file
- Test the insulation at homeHydro Flask's own test: fill the flask to the neck with boiling water straight from the kettle, with the flask sitting on the counter. Don't hold it while pouring and leave the cap off. After about 5 minutes, feel the outside below the neck. Hot spots mean the insulation failed and the flask qualifies.
- Broken or leaking cap? Don't mail the flaskHydro Flask says not to send the flask for a cap problem. Start the claim and be ready to send a photo of the cap. If you mail the flask anyway, you pay to have it shipped back.
- Start the claimUse the "start a Warranty" link on Hydro Flask's warranty page. You'll sign in and enter your details.
- Ship it when they tell you toFor most claims, Hydro Flask requires the product to be shipped back for review before a replacement goes out. Use tracked shipping.
- Get a matching replacementApproved claims are replaced with the same size and color. If that's gone, you get a similar size and color of no lower retail value.
Good to know
- A rattle is usually the small metal disc between the walls coming loose. It doesn't hurt insulation, but Hydro Flask says it will exchange the flask if the noise bothers you.
- Engraved or custom-logo flasks are replaced plain. Replacements can't be customized.
- Bought it from a European retailer? Hydro Flask says to claim through that retailer.
What voids the claim
- Ordinary wear: dents, scratches and powder-coat chips
- Improper use, cleaning, disassembly, alterations or modifications
- Abuse, fire or acts of God
- Products bought from unauthorized sellers
